Erskine Military Ball - 2009
The Glasgow Memory Clinic was proud to once again be the sponsor of The Erskine Military Ball. The Ball is Erskine's major annual fundraising event and is hugely important to them in helping to sustain their charitable work by providing the highest quality of care services to veterans in all five of Erskine's Homes.
This year saw the change in venue to the magnificent Mar Hall Hotel & Spa, which has historic links with Erskine, being located in the grade A listed former Erskine Hospital building.
Once again the evening was a glittering black tie event with a unique military theme including entertainment ranging from live music by The Army School of Bagpipe & Highland Drumming, dancing to The Usual Suspects band , a casino, a live auction and raffles and an outstanding fireworks display with the wonderful backdrop of the River Clyde.
The event, attended by over 420 people, was a huge succcess raising an amazing £73,000 on the night.
