Clinic Expansion

15/08/10

Glasgow Memory Clinic, located in the ecofriendly Altum Building is expanding with the addition of new research space.

The 'Altum Suite' will be fully operational in Sept 2010 and adds to the existing research facility.

Glasgow Memory Clinic was founded in 1999 at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital, Clydebank. The clinic relocated to a purpose built facility at Technology Terrace, Todd Campus, West of Scotland Science Park, Glasgow in 2006 and moved to the current state of the art facility in August 2009.

Uniquely in Scotland the clinic has conducted research on all of the currently licensed treatments for Alzheimer's disease. Current work includes vaccines for Alzheimer's disease.

Glasgow Memory Clinic commenced Alzheimer Vaccine work in mid 2007. It is the only Alzheimer's research centre in Scotland with experience of this work and the clinic continues to contribute to major international Alzheimer Vaccine research programmes.

Patients from all over Scotland attend the clinic to participate in a range of research studies.
