Alzheimer's Vaccines

29/12/10

Glasgow Memory Clinic continues to develop expertise in the field of Alzheimer's Vaccine research.

The clinic entered the first patient in Scotland in an Alzheimer's Vaccine trial in 2007 and since then has continued to develop expertise in this very important field of medical research.

'2010 has been a very positive year for the clinic 'says the Director of Research Dr Fraser Inglis.

'As the only research centre in Scotland with expertise in this field of medical research we have pioneered these specialised studies.'

'Clinical research is extremely important and while it can be very challenging at times it is essential if we are to develop new and improved medicines'.

'Our research team has expanded and we look forward to continuing this important work into 2011 and beyond.'

There are still places available in current Alzheimer Vaccine studies.

Individuals with Memory Impairment or known Alzheimer's disease may be eligible to participate and can find out more by contacting the clinic on 0141 948 0206.
